Training Tip #2: Tables are Turmoil

Trainers train; Teachers teach.

The difference is subtle but there's one key difference between the training room and the classroom.

Classrooms have desks. They're needed for students to do work.

Training rooms don't need desks because the work happens when participants get out of their seats.

The only contribution a desk will make in the training room will be to create a barrier.

Tables block the emotional connection between the trainer and the participant. Unless they're rooted to the floor, remove them.

So the next time you train, ditch the desk and build a bridge!
